Disclosure: I was provided this trip to Cozumel as part of our Carnival Cruise for review purposes only. All opinions are my own.
The last stop on our Carnival Cruise is Cozumel. This is the port I’ve been most looking forward to and it did not disappoint.
Cozumel offers adventure or relaxation. Tim and I were still seeking just a relaxing day on the beach. With none of the public beaches within walking distance of the dock, we decided to book a snorkel excursion at Chankanaab park. Transportation was arranged with the excursion and was just a short taxi cab ride.
Chankanaab offers, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming with the dolphins, sea lion show, tequila tasting and sandy white beaches. I did a little bit more snorkeling here and then enjoyed relaxing on the beach. Our tour guide Alexis was awesome. One of the things that we liked on this tour was just how guided it was. You could stay with the group or venture out on your own. Having a guide to take you snorkeling is a great option. When we snorkeled in Roatan, we didn’t have that and I wished we would have.
We didn’t spend a lot of time at Chankanaab because we wanted to get back and do a little shopping. Cozumel offers plenty of shopping options but be prepared to say “no” to all of the venders who’d love to have your business. We were looking for some souvenirs to bring home and found similar items at each shop. Take a look around before you buy because you may find it cheaper elsewhere.
At each port, I made sure to pick up my free charm from International Diamonds. This is such a fun thing for them to offer. I have loved collecting all of the different charms at the ports and it’s all been FREE! Love free.
