After staying up late last night to go to Mickey’s No-So-Scarey Halloween party, we slept in a bit. We were pretty worn out just from our first park. 😉 We were ready for some more adventures but maybe just not on as big of a scale.

We decided to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom. There were a few rides there that the kids had their hearts set on. One of them being the Yeti Ride. When we were here 4 years ago, the twins were too short to ride and Abbie, at age 6, was just too scared. So this time, the kids were all bound and determined to conquer the Yeti on the Everest Expedition ride.

When we got to the ride, Abbie and Caleb had a change of heart at the last minute. Dylan, Faith and I went it alone.

The 3 of us loved it! Yes, it was a bit scarey, really fast, and my stomach even dropped a couple times but if you’re not faint of heart or get motion sick easy, this is a must do ride. After the 3 of us conquered the Yeti, Abbie and Caleb decided that they were now ready to try it. We grabbed our fast pass tickets and decided we’d come back after hitting the Kali River Rapids. We did go back when our fast pass tickets were up and Abbie and Caleb loved it too!

On a side note, the fast pass is so nice! It comes with the price of admission…no extra fees involved. You grab a fast pass ticket and it tells you when you can come back to ride. You go do some other things, come back between the hours on the ticket and you can head to the front of the line. So nice when you have kids that are not fond of waiting or the line is extremely long.

The Kali River Rapids is now a family favorite. You board a 10 seated, big round raft. It takes you through the river ride with twists, turns, rapids and plenty of chances for everyone in the boat to get wet. And we all definitely did get wet. It was a super fun ride and it was great for cooling down on a hot day. 😉

The kids also got to meet some very special Disney characters and had a blast trading Disney Trading Pins with different staff members. And actually, the kids said that trading the Disney Pins was one of their favorite things that we did today.

We were wore out by the end of the day but had a blast at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
