Our first real adventure on this trip was a visit to Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. My husbands co-worker said that this was a must do while we were at Disney. Four years ago when we were here, they were having a Pirates of the Caribbean party. We didn’t know that would be going on and couldn’t spend the extra money to attend.
This time, we got some tips, like buying our tickets in advance and not buying regular admission for that day. Since they let you in the park at 4pm, just go on one of the days that you want to do other activities or take it easy during the day. That made it much more affordable for us to go.
The kids were excited to be able to dress up. Especially the girls in their princess costumes. It was amazing how many people, including adults, were dressed in elaborate costumes. My husband and I both agreed that it was hard to tell the cast members from the guests. Especially one man dressed as Jack Sparrow. Just so much fun being in the park during this event.
The kids were also able to trick-or-treat. They loved that!
We only went on a few rides while we were there. We hit the Haunted Mansion first because we heard how fun it is during the Halloween season…and it was. Not too scary for the kids..just creepy enough and lots of fun.
We were glad that we decided to spring for tickets for this special event – Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It’s a one of a kind experience.
