*I received tickets to Monster Jam to facilitate my review. All thoughts are 100% honest and my own.

At Monster Jam events, Monster Jam trucks face off in at least two different forms of competition – racing and freestyle. Racing is a traditional bracket racing, where the first truck to cross the finish line with the least number of penalties is the winner. The freestyle competition allows the trucks time on an open floor to show off their shills as they finesse the huge machines in a jaw dropping display of punishing stunts and amazing tricks.

The races were really fun to watch and I found myself cheering for the different trucks. I have to admit I wasn’t so sure about this before we attended. I have never been to a Monster truck event and I really enjoyed it!

Here was the final race where Son uva Digger won!

The driver actually ran his trophy into the crowd to the biggest Son uva Digger Fan.

It was so cool and I’m sure that little guy will never forget that moment!

They had two filler events. To open the show they had dirt bikes doing tricks. One of the guys came completely off his bike! It was incredible.

Another filler event was the trailer race. Basically, they race around for 10 laps and you have to have your trailer still attached to be in the race.

It was totally crazy in that good crazy sort of way. It reminded me of a smash up derby.

My favorite part of the event would have to be the Freestyle! The trucks did amazing tricks including the Hot Wheels truck which did back flips! On his last flip he did roll over and crash.

C turned around with a huge smile and yelled “That was awesome!”

I had such a great time and definitely want to see them again next time they’re in town!

Check out their schedule to see when they’ll be in your neighborhood!

  2. Nice. Though I find contests like this a little dangerous.
