Back in early March my husband, Clay and I took the kids to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the weekend and while there we visited Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini Golf. As a family we love playing miniature golf and love having one in our favorite vacation area. We spend most of our vacation time in Gatlinburg so it is nice to have something close to the strip that the entire family can enjoy. It’s located at Traffic Light #1 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Aside from my husband and myself, our family ranges in ages from 4 to 14. And sometimes, we have other family members and in-law’s along for the trip. It can be really hard to find something that  all the family members will enjoy. Mini golf is one of those things.  And I love that this particular course overlooks the Great Smoky Mountains.

Davy Crockett’s has two courses to choose from. We chose Fort Crockett for our first time there. It was less crowded that morning but quickly filled up. Being the first week of March, I was surprised by how many people came to play. It seems like it really stays busy, even on cooler days.

Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini Golf offers free parking and is on the edge of Gatlinburg so if you’re heading elsewhere for the day, you can make a quick stop and enjoy some family fun before heading out for the rest of your adventure. And you won’t have to spend extra money on parking to do so. If you are spending the day in Gatlinburg, you can also ride the Trolley.

The holes are really fun and some are pretty hard! There was one hole where my son lost his ball and we never did find it! There are raccoons, bears, chipmunks, skunks, etc. that heckle you throughout the course. Each hole has something interactive or animated. The kids had  blast and wanted to go through the other course while we were there but we didn’t have time that day. That’s fine because it gives us something to look forward to on our next trip!

While we love doing the more expensive attractions, sometimes we just want to take an inexpensive trip so it’s great to have something like Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini Golf right in Gatlinburg. I love that each one of our kids had a great time and were excited to go back. As a family, those are the moments we look forward to!
